Got a cub. I'm fixing to build a field cultivator. I have 9 danish tines AKA S shanks that I will be using. Thought about making 2 rows of plows 4 in front, 5 in rear. Want to make it a pick up cultivator 5ft wide. Will be using the single lift arm on the back of the tractor to lift. Anyone have suggestions, pictures, ideas? All are appreciated.

You already have a pretty good idea.......I would make 2 arms that hook to the axle houseings and pivot. Then use a chain from the lift to the bar. Simple and effective.

Remember it a cub and the horses are all out to pasture, did say it won't pull it but don't over load it.

Why not make one like was for the Cub. It was a rear unit with guage wheels to control depth. They reversed the drawbar for the hitch then the rear arm could pic it up

Buying one would be lots easier. WI is too far from me. I'm in northeast Arkansas. Only I just dont have the pivot points that bolt to the axle. I was gonna make 2 arms the hook up to the reversed drawbar with hinge points similar to the breaking plow and this may be similar to the cultivator that's made factory for them but I have never seen one close up.

Also I'll be pulling this behind my breaking plow so the ground won't be hard and I have turf tires on my tractor so I figure It will slip traction before it over loads the tractor wouldn't it?

Making a narrow harrow to pull behind the plow can work well as you only have a narrow area to cover. Soil types do vary but a harrow on new turned ground does work well smoothes it out.

in my opinion, turf tires pulling breaking plow, may be a bit of problem.

pulling in tandem cultivator/harrow with breaking plow is overload. in my opinion

have you pulled breaking plow with turf tires on tractor? how does it work?

I have pulled it with turf tires, will go deep enough I drag my draw bar on the ground while in my furrow. I have a picture if I can figure out how to load it on here. But I won't be pulling them in random. Will be one at a time.
