None the 340 or 300 were the smallest.

Love or independent?? The 300 and 350 and 400 and 450 all had independent PTOs

Whichever one will operate with the tractor clutch engaged.

Both do but the independent has it own clutch and live PTO works with the engine clutch in some way or by another clutch some place other then in the PTO

I believe the 404 was considered the last of that series, and none had independent pto. Never could figure out why it took IH so long to incorporate that into their smaller tractors.
