does anyone know if the piston or valve,dont know name ,the parts
diagram doesnt even show it.....want to know does it use orings or
not...also what size snap ring does it take...the one i tryed came
apart.thanks for input......dewy

reason i ask about orings is because i watched you tube video on rebuilding block ,,,different unit but at one point he was showing one of the control arm pistons and he showed area on piston that you did not use orings on and it looked just like the area on the aux. control valve...thanks..... talk to me old timers.....dewy

Dewey, Not sure why you are running into trouble with this valve, I just rebuilt one on my Super C and it was easy to remove and only had two or three parts needed to rebuild it. I wish I had written down the part numbers so I could help you. If I have a chance I will ask the parts dept for the numbers I used for the rebuild.

messicks or case said snap ring not available..i have not seen the valve on parts diagram..i replaced seal under the rubber boot. there are no other parts in the body.. two washers and spring an snap ring..my snap ring was gone ,pieces... the valve looked like you could put orings on it ,in two places...does any one know if its supposed to have orings or not......thanks...dewy

watch that you tube video super c hydralic block rebuild towards the end of part one 25 min area he shows this area on the control arm pistons that go in the block,,,he see this place ,it needs no orings,,,,that place looks just like the control valve piston in two places...that i tryed to put orings on,,but now think it doesnt need them.it worked either way,but i took them out when my snap ring popped off again..snap ring grove was burgered up alittle... i cleaned it up and sqeezed ring on tighter..see if it holds now...dewy ,,,,,,thanks rex for responding...

i just rebuilt my aux. control valve on my SC today,. ordered the following parts from Messicks:

seal 711248c1 seal under top dust boot
gasket 356799r1 copper gasket on bottom plug
o-rings 75285739 o-rings between the valve
and the tubbing from the pump

took about an hour to rebuild... the botton plug takes a 1 5/8" sockett to take off. there were no o-rings on the shaft thru the body of the valve
