Need help with plow ID now

You guys helped narrow down the disk to a 37 and now the guy has a plow he wants painted. By checking tractor house I have it narrowed down to a 500 series. How can I tell a 540/550/560? It is a 3-16 semi mount with fast hitch hood up. Still in his shed so I have no pics to post.

4, 5, or 6 bottoms, semi-mounted.

If the plow is a 3-bottom fully mounted fast hitch, it is not a 500 series. It is one of about a dozen different possible plows. Possibly a 311.

I think the 535 was the 3-bottom version when the 540/550/560 plows were made. It might have came a bit later, though. All were semi-mount.

He said it is a semi mount. Probably a 535. The
others are 540 is 4 bottom, 550 is 5 bottom and
560 is 6 bottom. I think when they went to the 510
, it was a 510 or 710 regardless of the number of
bottoms.

Here is a picture of the 535 plow that I received from my Dad when he pasted. The 540 is a 4 bottom, 550 is 5 bottom, and the 560 is 6 bottom. So, why was the 3 bottom a 535? The decal still is visible on the beam.

Oh you're right, it does say semi-mount. I read it over twice just to make sure and was 100% positive he didn't say, but there it is. Go figure.

Semi mount 3-bottom is probably a 535.

I read somewhere that there already was a 530 plow when the 540-550-560 series was introduced. That's why they went with 535.

I did a little more research, and it appears that the 520 and 530 plows are fully mounted plows.
