Is this a Farmall F12?

I am new to this forum.

I was going through some old family photos and came across this one of my uncle on a Farmall. My best guess is the photo was taken in the late 1930s or early 1940s judging by my uncle's age. Can someone confirm the model and give me your best guess as to the year of manufacture? Thank you.

Yes,it is F-12.it has Factory 'rubber' on original
French & Hect round spoke wheels. F&H made (spoked)
rims/wheels for most makes/brands of tractors in
those days. Looks like red paint. That would put the
tractor a late 36 or 37.

My guess is yes that it is an F-12. You can barely see the F series decal above the Farmall decal on the gas tank, so it's an F series for sure. From the flat steering column I'd say it's not a F-14, and from the oil filter being in front of the mag then that rules out it being an F-20. If I'm mistaken then someone step in and correct me, I often make mistakes.

Thank you! From my minimal research, I did find that there was a change in paint color from gray to red around 1936, but I wasn't sure of the color in this black and white photo.

Thanks! I enlarged the photo and not knowing anything about antique tractors (my interest is cars and trucks from that era), it looked like either F12 or F13, but my assumption is that there wasn't an F13 model (unlucky #13?).

Great picture! If you run across anymore please share.

Everyone is correct. It is an F-12. One other thing I noticed is it appears to be a gasoline model. No starter tank in the hood and also no filler on the rear of the main tank. Not sure if that would have made it rare but you sure don't see many models that way.

36" F-12 never came out with 38".40 " was F-14.Of my 5 F-12 tractors,2 have 36 F&H,one has 38" (flat spoke)'cutoffs',one has 18x24 smooth bomber tires on homemade rims, one has 13x26 combine tires on another set of shopmade rims.

Since all the F&H roundspokes were painted red, I say the tractor is Grey as they are two different shades in the photo. The tires look like one of the early Goodyear designs like those with the hollow diamond tread, not necessarily on backwards at all. I would put it at a 35 or 36 gasoline model. May also have the deluxe seat with backrest. No question it is a F12
