floating hydraulic outlet international 300?

I have a 300u with a 2001 loader... the loader has a snow blade on it that I rigged up myself. It works real nice but the only complaint I have with it is that it sticks out pretty far in front of the tractor and when there is up grades or down grades, the blade often wants to dig in or it is up too high,

I can control the blade with the hydraulic valves used for the loader, and I like having the down pressure. I don't want to lose that.

If I am not mistaken the fast hitch will float if you push the lever all the way forward. I tried that with the loader valves but it doesn't seem to work.

any suggestions? thank you

The OEM IH control valves have a switch on the end opposite where the lever attaches. (front IIRC) this switch is a flat projection on a round valve component. It has a roll pin through it that is under a sheet metal (tin) "limiter" one position is S for single acting, the other is D for double acting. If you switch between them it might give you the desired effect. I also believe in skids or wheel based limiters at the blade edge to prevent gouging, and allow contour of the ground to be followed. If you change the valve to "s", it will power the
cylinder one way and float the other way. The
center position will keep the cylinder in the
position you have it. You loose the power in one
direction but gain the float.

thank you very much... I think I will try that.

I thought of putting some sort of valve "in parallel" with the OEM valve to allow the cylinders to float, but if closed I would still have the double acting cylinders
