pictures (snow removal)

Northern Ky. 30 miles east of Cincinnati. Got
about a foot on the ground. The temp has been in
the minus numbers for a few days. It warmed up to
20 today so I decided to shovel the driveway. Two new Titans helped a lot. I
got my new heated seat installed just in time.

Tells us more about the heated seat. (e.g. your fanny heats it?, you use the little hunter chemical throwaway packs?, or a real genuine heated seat like snowmobilers would use powered off of 12 volt battery power?)

Also what kind of hitch you got on the ole M. Fast hitch or 3 point? Got any rear view pics of the hitch and blade.

I know you don't normally get a lot of snow down there but, well I am sure you know this...your blade is turned around the wrong way! 8)

Have a nice SMTA set up like yours with blade. Just too old and lazy to use it.. Dont need to get out till drive thaws!!Retirement has perks.

Farmaller, I had the good fortune to teach machine shop, welding and drafting for 30 years. The fenders have the same shape as the original fenders, but I designed them to be slightly taller than the tractor tires to be easier to hold on to. The fan part is 1/4 inch in thickness and the flairs are 2 inches wide and 1/8 in thickness. I have 3 M Farmalls and I only made one set of fenders. Dumb me. Thanks for asking, Ellis

I've been getting a lot of use of my Super C and Fast Hitch blade! Getting tired of the snow but still a good excuse to use the ol Farmall

I've never understood why people PULL the snow.

You're driving through the unplowed snow, compromising your traction and packing the snow down ahead of the blade.

fastfarmall---I appreciate your interest in the fenders. They would cost a small fortune if I had to buy all the steel, and then charge for the fabrication and welding. I can't even afford to build myself another pair. As a teacher I could use scrap or sometimes donated materials and have a project for kids who couldn't afford materials on their own. This helped kids pass the class and me with farm projects. Sorry Ellis

Looks like going forward is working quite okay in working towards the goal of getting that driveway cleared to me.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get it done with the limitations of the equipment at hand. Old antique tractors are usually limited in gear choices as it is. That said going forward gives you 4 working speeds (not counting road gear) compared to only 1 reverse gear so an advantage.

Also very few tractors have down pressure on the 3 point so they want to ride up when you push in reverse unless the blade is real heavy. 3 point arms are designed for pulling anyway and very suspectible to getting bent when pushing (although it can be done with care).

Good job plowing that snow and good job on the custom fenders too.

Hey rankrank, what kind of snowmobile has a seat warmer? Mine sure don't. It has hand and throttle warmers, but have never heard of a seat warmer. I think it would give you a wet butt.

I have no idea what brands of snowmobiles might have heated seats, I just figured some did by now due to the other warmers like grips, throttle warmers, etc that are available on them.

Some cars even have heated seats so if someone wanted to install an old car seat on their tractor well they would have a heated seat.

I was just curious what Ellis had since I could tell his seat was not stock and he mentioned the heated seat...
