I need to get a carberator kit. But the website on Yesterday's Tractor has 5 to choose from. How do I know which is the right one?

look on the lower half of the carb and you will find the part number, the nunbers are real small

i just had to rebuild the carb on my wife's cub the gasket between the two halves was GONE my wife's carb has IHC on the side

Later model cubs used a ZENETH carb. Usually a new gasket and thorough cleaning (two jets) will take care of most problems.

In all my reading there are 2 types of carbs on the cubs. IH and Zenith. So determine the type of carb and then what extent you want to go on the rebuild from a few gaskets to a total rebuild. Got mine from eBay for 20 dollars and still a good rebuild. New needle and seat, gaskets, screws, dust seals.

When you remove the screws on that carb to separate the two halves, lift the top half straight up a good couple inches before taking it away. At least one style of Cub carb has a small tube that screws into one half and goes down thru the other. If you move it to a side you will snap off the tube.
