Does any one know where to find an outside door handle for the left side for a Year-a-Round cab? This is on a 966 IH Seems like everyone around here is sold out of them. Or maybe another handle would interchange and fit? If you know, let us know. Thanks

From the farmers own lab came the year around cab, Have you tried Meyer Tractor Salvage, In Aberdeen South Dakota ?

Cab manufacturers probably bought most of those standard hardware items from other manufacturers. Southco is one of the larger latch manufacturers that still exists. Measure your existing latch and check the Southco catalog to see if they have a similar item that will fit.

McMaster-Carr is a large distributor that will ship a small order on a credit card.

Not original, but many semi's have a round bar style handle on the side of the cab to climb up with.
The round stock can be shortened and the ends purchased separately & attached to your tractor cab.
I am familiar with Freightliner & Kenworth and either should install easily.

Try calling 1-507-934-1161. I found the number on the net as a contact number for the company that bought the year-a-round company. All so try calling the Hiniker Company. Hiniker and YAR cabs were pretty much identical including the door latches. The two company's were located near each other in Mankato MN. Let us know what you find out, lots of YAR and Hiniker cabs still in use.
