Just thought I would share the mechanical
restoration of and early IH tractor.A little video
of the first run. last run in about 1948

Every last part was stuck rusted etc. has been
about a 2 week 10 hours a day project. the engine
was free and in good condition inside as well as
the drive train. clutch needed a thrust bearing
made and some shims etc. May get it to drive
today.

Hi Oldihtractor, looking good wait for your drive around video, I agree a thanks or like button would be good, I've been following your restoration on the stack

Thanks for the posting

Wish I could find one. Saw one on a trailer at Farm & Fleet in Muscatine one year when Old Threshers was on down at Mt. Pleasant.
I believe the owner was from Pennsylvania, if memory serves. It was a beautiful machine. Needed a camera. Didn't have one, unfortunately.

I have not figured that out as of yet. you can adjust the height of the steering wheel and when it was apart you could see distinct spots when it had been placed over the years. poss. for faster steering response or road travel? after we get it finished up and driving. I will try it out to see.

Notice the foot pedal to steer it when in the row. the main steering locks out when in the row and you steer it with yor feet like a horse cultivator.
