john deere #5 mower bolt on to an F20 ?

I have a 1938 F20 and remember hearing from my grandpa that a JD no. 5 mower is a great matchup and would bolt onto the drawbar. Is that the right JD mower model number that fits onto an F20?

Yes.

On operator's manual will be a help in hooking it up, you can view the Parts Catalog (.pdf) at the link below.

F-20 hitch parts are on .pdf Page 95.

There's probably some other parts diagrams that apply, as well (Lift parts, etc.)

Yes, the #5 JD mower will mount on the F20. As a matter of fact, mounting brackets were made to mount that mower on just about any tractor available then, even some small crawler tractors!

You just ned a couple plates bolted to the drawbar then bolt the mower to the plates.

Thanks for the JD catalog link, sure enough there is a diagram of a Foot Pedal for the F20 on there. Finding one will be chore.
