Let me get this correct here your REBUILDING and Engine WITH OUT A BOOK , Wright ?? and all your worried about is torque spec.'s Ya had Best get a BOOK as one MUST know what ROD BOLT style your working with to get the correct torque . They used two different styles . Then ya need to know how much clearance to have on the skirt to wall . Have your ever heard about FITTING EACH piston to the BORE ?? Do you have inside and outside Mic.'s Do you have a Bore gauge to check the new sleeves for any wrinkling . Did you look at the top of the block to check bore class ?? , to see what sleeves ya need ??

FArmallman2013,

I read your request, and cannot provide the information you desire. Please don't consider this "piling on".

Tractorvet has stated the necessity of having the books needed for a successful assembly. I agree.
Your pictures speak of your mechanical abilities, commendable, but the details are obtained from the books/experience.

Not meant to chide; good wishes,

D.

Head bolts: 90
Rods:50
Manifold: 35
Valve tappet gap:.027 hot.
Assuming you have knowledge of clearances, tolerances, you'll be fine.

Ah , not really on the rod bolts as one stile only goes to 45 Ft. lbs. YOU NEED TO READ THE BOOK . And i can also see that You do not know to look and see what sleeves you need to use also .

I believe you are confusing this motor with the later engines, and or diesel engines. It was stated as a 560 gas. They didn't have a choice of pitch or place bolts. The diesel engines had either a heavy or light press sleeve, there are oversized sleeves available in dimensions of .003,.005,or .010 oversize for the gas engine. The guy wanted the specs, I gave them to him, that simple. I personally would want a manual but that is just my opinion.

So is a Implement@Tractor book going to tell which block he has ,so he can get the right piston set, I have never owned a 560-806 gas tractor, but never thought the IT was very detailed either, I prefer the Blur Ribbon service manuals myself, but there hard to come by!!

The manuals are inexpensive as PDF's. It's what I use and have been pleased. Ebay is a good source for PDFs and printed manuals (used or new).
