15-30 axles/rear end

What is all involved in removing axle shafts? Axles are early style with keyways. We are trying to remove wheels but they wont budge so we are thinking of just swapping out wheels and axles from the parts tractor to good tractor. Tractor also has rear pto shaft how is that removed? Thanks jim.

don't have my parts book in front of me right now, but I think there are like 4 different axle and quill designs on the 15-30 and don't know how many or if any are interchangeable.

some of the PTO shafts were splined so they pull right out and some were threaded, cant remember right off what the 15-30 had. id have to look it up

The good 15-30 is ser. 57xxx the donar tractor is ser.29xxx. The axles and rear steel are the same style. Just hoping the internals are.

My parts book says the rear axle was changed from the single key to splines at serial number 56224.
