May have a problem

I posted on this forum a few weeks back that my new temp gauge didn't work. Thanks to your replies I conclude the SM just wasn't warmed up. I was able to go out to the farm yesterday and work on the ole gal. Nice day, in the 70's. I covered the radiator with some cardboard and sure enough it got in the RUN range pretty quickly.

But now I have a new question. I haven't had it up to RUN temperatures since I degreased it. I noticed some dampness between the head and block on the spark plug side and at the front of the engine a very small amount of coolant had accumulated under the thermostat housing. I checked and there were no leaks from the thermostat area or hoses.

I dried it all off and kept the tractor at Run temp for 2-3 hours. It seemed that very little more coolant showed up. But, I also noticed that if I was running WOT and then throttle down and back up I would get a some gray/white smoke. I am pretty inexperienced at all of this so is this a head gasket or warped head problem? And if so, am I harming the engine operating it this way? This will not be a working tractor but I do hope to go to some plow days and pulls. Thanks for your help.

It will not heal it self, that being said if you
aren't working it , it may take a while to get
worse.

Has the head been off at any time not long ago?? If yes was it re-torqued after it was warmed up??
Now if the head has not been off then to fix your going to have to pull it and see where the problem is. Could be the head gasket or a cracked head. Or even a cracked block

I would drain a quart of coolant out of it, get it to temperature and drop a bottle of irontite in. That will seal it for quite a while.
