Ih 606 noise - created by 17gpm pump??

I wanted to post an update on my progress with my 17gpm pump upgrade in my 606. I installed the new pump and suction tube and it went together very easily. On the filter side input on my filter extender kit but noticed that the filter had a large opening on the exterior side. After some research I found out that I needed to order a filter bypass valve before I put the filter, extension and lid on the tractor. I did that and that side went together very nicely too! Also when putting on a dry pump I filled it with oil through the hole where the filter attaches until it came out before I put the filter in.
It started and now it sounds way way louder than it did before. It whines and it seems to get a little quieter when I steer left or right. The whining also seems to be coming not from the pump below which I would say indicates gears clashing but it's coming from the flow divider valve area. I'm hoping I could get some help with this yet as to what I should check out or test.

Check fluid at port for air , add a gallon over full , do you think it air or do you think that the drive gears are making noise , I a 460 that I run a gallon over to quiten it . This is not a cure.

What is the temperature where you are at? Could just be that the fluid is cold. My 340 whines like the devil until the engine temp reaches 150. Then everything quiets down.

Hello everyone, thank you for your replies and help. I found out a couple things since I last wrote in on this topic. One is that I may have to live with my whiny tractor now with this large pump. The other is that my tractor whines even more with the hydraulic filters left in the tractor.

I talked to two people who have experience in heavy duty repairs and tractors. One told me that if my tractor hydraulic system heats up to red hot in a matter of minutes I have a serious problem. The other person told me that there are many tiny ports and orifices inside this tiny tractor and since the reservoir barely holds 17 gallons of oil, it would naturally squeal and whine a bit when the tractor has to circulate its oil almost completely every minute the pump is running.

I have ran my tractor now for a few hours on my logsplitter and it did not heat up at all and I removed my filter and it did makle the tractor quieter. So I will see now over the next little while what happens. Any input is still appreciated!!
