560 main and TA clutch

Have my 560 diesel split because the TA was slipping in high
and when going from low to high. After getting everything
apart, I took the cover off the top of the TA and found oil to be
in the TA clutch compartment. I'm assuming there is a seal bad
and the oil is causing it to slip.

Is there anything else I should be concerned about or replace
other than the bad seals and the TA clutch disc.?

Took a look at the main clutch as well and noticed this was the
one that had only the four pads. Is there an advantage or
disadvantage to this one over the full disc. Any input is helpful.
Thanks

If you have other problems in the TA section like worn splines I would think about replacing. While you are in that far you may wish to look at your TA and see how the one way clutch is in it. Depends upon your wallet cause it can get expensive quick, and what you wish to use this tractor for in the future.

As for the clutch the 4 button was a heavier clutch. If you are running a loader or other heavy work you may want that one otherwise the standard disk will be fine.

The pad style clutch disk is more aggressive and will hold a greater load. The trade off is more wear on the flywheel and cast plate surfaces.

The maximum time from beginning of clutch engagement to fully engaged should be not more than 3 seconds to cut down on excessive wear. For that reason I never recommend that style clutch for use in a loader tractor.
