On this farmall m we have been using when it gets cold you have to pry the ignition switch it you can't pull it by and but when it's a above freezing it works fine any ideas?

Warm it with a hair dryer (not roast) for 3 to4 min. Then push and pull for 20 off/on cycles, then spray with tri-flow or other PTFE based "dry" lube. Then cycle it more. Jim

Those switches do wear out. The one on my M was easy enough to operate, but it didn't always make contact when pulled out. I took it apart, cleaned and lubed it, and it still wasn't 100%, so I replaced it with an aftermarket switch. No more problems.
