got the sleeves out of the H

Thanks to your guys tips, I got the cylinder sleeves out of my Uncles 'H'. Fabricated a puller, steel disk and 1/2 -20 threaded rod, 3 of the 4 came out with just the puller. Hard to get them to pop, but then they came out. The last one broke my balls, ended up welding 4 beads with my Mig, put the puller on as tight as I could get it and beat on the steel disk with a pipe and hammer

Hopefully installing the new ones will go OK

We warned you that they might be tight. Just remember or look up the tips we gave for install. If followed it should go easier, and prevent doing again shortly after running it for a while. Good luck

Took advantage of last nights 5 degree temp and left the new sleeves outside. got the block heated up to about 200 degrees with a couple heaters. Sleeves went in pretty easily , piece of wood and hammer to tap them in.

As long as you remember to hone sleeve before in stalling pistons. All should be fine. Found out the hard way about that(when rings failed not long after a rebuild).
