You have frozen water locking the bull gears to the housing. Heat the rear end and drain the water out. 15 gals. of Hy-Tran

I have had hytran equaivalent in my 300 transmission and hydraulics since I got it going in 2012 and it has been fine so far.

I have a picture of the additive can. This was the start of Hy-Tran, mixing with 10w oil and adding this additive. I remember as a kid at home there was a gallon can of additive setting on the shelf in the garage. I sure wish I had that can today. Hy-tran will be just find today.

Back 'in the day' there was no such thing as 'Hy-Tran'.It had not been invented yet.Hence the requirement for the 10wt/TA additive.Today HyTran or equivalent(JD Hygard;Transdralic fluid;303;Phillips HG fluid.......)is accepted for use.

That additive was retained later on to be used in steering gear boxes and it works very well. Very extreme pressure lube used straight. Wish I would have grabbed some years ago for my old H's and M.
