SUPER MD LIVE HYDRO

I have never worked on a IH live hydro system before. Where is the drain for the hydro system? How much fluid does the system hold? Anything to be especially careful with. I want to change the hydro oil in the smd before I try and run engine. Have a manual on order, thought I would ask the experts for advice. Jim

Really depends on what tank you are useing.If it is the one under the gas tank,there is a drain plug on the side of the tank,toward the bottom.I forget which side. Also,remove the suction hose from the pump.That should drain all the oil. That tank only holds 2 couple gallon or so.

I had to go back and refresh my memory. The unit under the fuel tank is the reservoir. There should be a drain plug along the lower edge. 3/8 pipe plug I think

Also unbolt the manifold from the bottom of the pump, that will allow the suction line and pump itself to drain.
