International Harvester Upright Freezer

Just Purchased an International Harvester Upright Freezer. Looks to be 1955 model according to pictures. Needing the cover that goes over the light on the front door. Any suggestions on places to buy parts for this type Freezer or any information on them. Thanks Diana

Things like that are few and far between. My mom has of old fridge that my parents got way back when that is the old round top and it is stilling working just fine and has never had any work done to it. Face it they do not make thing like they did back in the day

Mom finally had to give ours away, in late '50's, it got too small for family, and never would wear out.

Whirlpool bought out the IH refrigerator/ freezer stuff, & reportedly had some parts available yet.
Can you get a piece of clear window plastic & cut to size? Use sheet metal screws or silicone seal to hold it in place.

Check your local appliance recyclers on appliance dealers scrap bins when someone buys a new refridge they haul old one away most of the time they junk them I have seen IH freezers in scrap bins from these places drive around back and see where they put them and ask if you can buy or have parts from them IH stuff is rare to find now but it does pop up time to time
