I have been working on my '52 Super M for the past year. Thanks to the posts on this forum I have been able to replace the wiring, tune it up, adjust the valves, adjust the carb, rebuild the brakes and more. The local Case/IH dealer replaced the clutch and rebuilt the steering that was totally shot. Hopefully I'll get it painted this year. Happy New year to all of you on YT and thanks for your helpful posts.

You're moving right along, I started on my 53 in November 08 then lost interest for a few years and drove it out last summer, been painted for a couple years, haven't washed the dust off yet.

That's a nice looking SM. Have fun with it. I'll try to post a pic.
Of the one I finished last summer. I don't know if I should use it
or look for another loader tractor. DTK

The steering was so bad the tractor was unsafe at any speed over 3 mph. So, yes I had them completely rebuild the steering. I don't have the tools, skills, etc to do it myself so had the local dealer. Turns out the shop foreman is an old Farmall tractor buff and owns some M's and SM's himself so it worked out well. Costly, but now I can drive in road gear!
