295 planter

Hey fellas I'm looking at a 295 planter to do some sweet corn planting with. It's got the narrow closing/drive wheels on it and I've noticed that some 295 planters have the wider wheels with the taper to the middle. Is there a specific reason for this? Do I need to be looking for one over the other? Thanks for the help. DK

For your purpose, the press wheel style wont matter a bit.Sweet corn is not an exact 'science' due to the varigated seed size. The different 'styles' were offered for different soil types and practices.I assume you are only planting an acre or two,a potential skip or two wont matter. You should be more concerned about the correct plate size than the press wheel.
