706 gas manifold

I went ahead and pulled the cylinder head off of my 706. The cylinder head checked out good at the machine shop so minor work was done on it. I went to my local dealer and ordered the gaskets and other things I need. There was a little sticker shock there. They didn't have everything in stock but I didn't expect them either. I started to clean up the engine today and get prepared for when my parts come in. I had to take the manifold apart because where the two halves meet the gasket was gone on one corner. When I got it apart the surface on the corner didn't look too good. While I was at it I freed up the heat control valve. Then I cleaned up the exhaust manifold. That is where I noticed more problems. It is cracked in three different places where it bolts to the intake manifold. I could probably put the assembly back together but I don't know it it will actually seal and I am not to crazy about the cracks. My question is has anyone bought a new aftermarket manifold assembly and if you did how do you like it? Thanks.

I have installed several aftermarket IH manifolds and they seem to be ok but not like the oem but are cheaper. Some minor modifications may have to be made like inlargeing bolt holes, etc.

My thoughts.

I bought one from this site, very good luck with it. I would recommend ordering your parts from here, good prices, very good delivery.
