Small plastic gear for Tach on a 300 or 350?

Does anyone know where I could get the small plastic gear in the Dist. shell that runs the tach for a 350 or 300,,mine is worn out. Case IH dealer says you have to buy a new shell that will fit the new plastic gear they have now. Shell itself is 175.00 Thanks

Ebay item # 131382705897 everything you need to use the new style metal/ nylon gear. You can also get it all new at Steiner TP for about $100.00. Just in case you did not know, the housing used on the factory nylon style gear has a concentric/ ecentric? ajustment to adjust the drive gear contact. I just aquired a 300 utility with a non working tach, By following the tach drive set up procedure in the operators manual I was able to get the tach working without having to replace any parts, Email if you would like a scan of those instructions...Tom

I bought one last summer and it fit right into my 300U without any changes. I ether bought it from Case or Bates - can't remember which.
