Super m wide front conversion

Converting my farmall super m to wide front and noticed the spindle size on new/used factory ih wide front was bigger diameter on inner wheel bearing, is it just a matter of getting new bearing to accommodate factory super m hub with larger spindle size? Anyone ever went through this problem?

If you have the 'old style'(tie rod in front),that
one uses the H front hub.The M narrow is much
bigger/heavier.If you have a newer front that uses a
6 bolt hub,I really dont know. I guess I will go see
if an M hub will fit a 6 bolt spindle.See if they
will interchange.Good shop 'project' for a cold
rainy day..... I do know that a 6 bolt hub and a 8
bolt hub use the same bearings(interchangeable).

Yes the wide front is the new style with tie rods in back and 6 bolt hubs. I know I have to get a shorter rear wishbone cradle to make it work and they sell those aftermarket, just hopeing I can come up with a inner bearing to make the original hubs work!

If the difference in sizes is great (.150" or so) I would say probably not. But if closer, a good bearing company might come up with the replacement and seal. Machining out the hub might also be a step in the fit direction if there is substantial "meat" to work with. Motion Industries, and Kaman are two sources. Jim

No promises on this because of to much time passage. Found what I think is the inner cone number Timken LM 603014 that I used in a SM type wheel and a inner spindle size 1.780. Can't remember if I used the 560 inner bearing with that or not.

Thanks to everyone for input! As its looking now I'm going to have a machine shop make me a shim for the inner race from the six bolt hub to fit the super m hub, the original outer bearing is the same size on both. If and when I get everything worked out I will repost all the the problems and solutions for the next guy lol. The only other alternative would be buying new spindles for the earlier tractors at 200.00 a side and not sure they would fit in the axel extension housing, they probly would but I have not went through all the measurements to see. Hopefully a simple machine shop shim is the answer!

Also I left out that I went to motion industry's for a bearing but they couldn't come up with anything that would work so hope shim is the solution!
