A couple Farmall Questions

1, i know there are some difference between belly
pumps on M's between the real early ones and later
ones. My question, is a H and M belly pump the
same?

2, On an vertical Delco Remy distributor there are
two screw plugs on it. Presumably for
lubrication, what would one use to lube these
guys? 15/40, 80-90 or grease?

Thanks

i remove the screw plugs, thread in a zerk, grease fitting, and use the grease gun

the cost of a owners manual is cheap compared to letting something run dry of lubrication.

for instances, there is a screw in the fan hub on my C farmall, that i let run dry. did not know that it needed oil. sigh $80 to fix, plus my work

the problem is is that the delco remy is not original equipment on IH. Cant find anything about it on AC delco website.

The working innards of the two pumps are the same. The difference lies in the housing layouts. Early pumps on both H & M were lower pressure(which is changed by different relief valve) and the gear bodies did not have shim packs for adjusting the end play of the gears.
