Boosting Hydraulic pressure

I have a 53 C. with a custom 3 point, It does fairly well with most implements but I would like to know is there a way to boost the hydraulic pressure so that the lifting capacity of the lift.

Not much can be done and still avoid brealing the hydraulic system. If you refer to the hitch, a larger diameter cylinder can be installed to increase its lift power with no consequence to the hydraulic system, but with the potential of bending the hitch components. Use the area of the piston to assess the increase in lifting power. A=R*R*Pi
I would be cautious to limit the increase to 30% or so above original size. If the tractor pump is worn, the replacement of the pump might fix the issue. Flow rating the system should be a consideration to be sure you are fixing the problem and not a symptom. Jim

A 3pt hitch on a C is probably being lifted by the touch control arms. That would mean a bigger cylinder is not an option without some fabrication.

About the only thing you can do is rebuild the pump and touch control unit so that they are in the best shape they can possibly be.

Agree with Janicholson that a larger cylinder will increase lifting capacity but it will also slow the speed of lifting by the same percentage. Going from a 3 to 3.5 inch diameter or a 3.5 to 4 inch diameter cylinder will give approximately 30% increase in lift.

As noted By Mkirsch We are not going to change the cylinders inside the touch control box. So unless the hitch has a cylinder on it, or the owner can redesign the hitch to use a cylinder, change won't work. Your numbers are correct. Jim

If yours is the type that lifts with the Touch Control arms, you might be able to fabricate a rod or add a rod so you can lift with both sides of the Touch Control. Of course you would have to move both levers together for this to work, but it could be done.
This should about double the lifting power, but you might also break something along the way... if there is a weak point, you just might find it.
