Locating Farmall H Manifold

My good friend had a '46 H. As his health declined, the tractor sat outside for several years. After his death, his widow gave it to me. I've now gotten it home. I've pulled the plugs, stuck a piece of wire into each cylinder and found rusty water. The manifold is totally rusted through. Before going further/pulling the head, my question is: Will it be possible to find another manifold? Thanks for replies. kelly

Yes, both used and new (usually imported, but be careful to get a guarantee of fit) Jim
Go ahead and take it apart, it has dry sleeves (usually need to get the pistons out to remove them.

Yes, you should be able to find a good used H manifold fairly easily. This site sells new ones too.

IH made almost 400,000 H tractors. So there are lots of parts out there. New,used,NOS,aftermarket.......Go ahead and fix it. The H was a good little tractor. You will be happy with it.

There are so many parts for those old H's available that if you want to repair it parts aren't going to be your issue. You probably won't be able to recover all of your investment, but you'll save another piece of history and preserve your memories.

m manley, You mentioned that you have many H manifolds for sale. What condition are we talking? Send me a pm or email and we can discuss.

thanks!
