My 400 has spliced axles and I want to put 26"
rubber on it , 23.1x26 were a factory option for a
560 will the hubs fit , swap?

Spliced axles are those that have had some other axle welded onto the original. Do you mean splined axles with grooves all around? Jim

they quite possibly will as the 560 originated from the 400,450. the only thing those tires are goood for is floatation. a guy i know had them on his 560 and took them off for tractor pulls as he had less traction... all about psi to the ground.

just curious why you want to go with those big wide tires. they would be too wide for the plow furrow also. was wandering why change from the 16.9s even if you went with the 18,4's would be a better deal. those 23.1's are a fortune to buy also, like about 4000.00 worth maybe more by the time you get tubes and installation. i cant find his # for now.

Disking no plow furrow , our ground is rather wet in
the early spring and late fall and thought wider May
let me work earlier and later, don't know for sure
just a thought.

26 inch rim 20 inches wide was a option on a 400, 450 and a 560. Same parts for both with a small splined hub and the rims bolted to the hub. 26 was also a option with a heavy cast wheel but IH only furnished a 12 inch wide or so rim with those.
