Was curious if anyone has mounted a front snow plow blade or had pictures of one mounted on a IH 340? I did see a nice ford w/front plow over on the N forum. I have a old 7.5 ft western plow, that should work. The creative part would be the mounts on the tractor...pictures needed for ideas.
Thanks, Jim/Mn.

Here's an IH no. 72 on my Super C, never did find the lift linkage for it, been using the chains for 25 years.
the owner's manual shows this on a 230 and a 404, a 340 ought to be close.

Put a frame under the front axle and attached to the rear axle on each side with a bracket that is 4 inches down from the axle. Lift it with a cylinder on the front bolster. Jim

will be a fun project. nice farmall c,thanks for sharing pics. i agree with 4 point under carriage mounts, and front bolster for lift cyl. ty,jim

If anyone is interested, I've got a 6' and 6 1/2' IH 420 and 430 plow only (no brackets) for sale. Good luck with your project; hope you have power steering on the 340.

found a decent pic of a 340, with almost the same plow setup i have. looking at this picture looks like it is mounted from front bolster to mid way back near the transmission housing, cant tell for sure, but looks like a good setup to me.
