Farmall 33 Loader question

Hi, I have what I believe is a model 33 pipe-style front loader. It has a lot of lateral movement, causing racking of the loader frame, due mainly to a considerable amount of play in the bracket which attaches the loader to the rear axle. The part of the bracket which mounts to the axle is firmly attached, but where the bracket attaches to the loader there is almost 1/4 inch of space left between the nuts and the face of the bracket. The loader is not firmly fastened, but hanging on these bolts. Is this play part of the design? Or should they be tightened?

A loader, any loader, should go up, and it should go down. That is all. ANY side to side movement indicates excessive wear, or loose mounting hardware.

Keeping all of the mounting hardware good and tight also greatly decreases the chances of something breaking.
