Farmall 656--3 point hitch lower right crank arm replacement

Got an advanced-level question on replacing a hydraulic 3pt hitch component on my 656.

I need to replace the lower right crank arm on my 656 3pt hitch. Item #4 in the attached diagram. Can anyone advise the particulars on doing this? I have the IH repair manual, and it has directions for removing the torsion bar draft sensing assembly, which requires removal of the wheels and IPTO. However I only need to replace the crank arm. Will it just pull out? Thanks for any advice.

you have to have the pto out to remove u bolt #2 in picture which is clamped around torsion tube. it will then pull out if the wheel is not too close if the wheels are set narrow the right may have to be removed or slid out on axle to make enough room. make sure you replace the orings (items #3 times 2 and #9)that seal in the oil while you got it apart. in case you didnt know the right bell crand is all one piece with the torsion tube. to reassemble you will also need the top link bracket or cover above pto off to help align the pto drive shaft and it is also a big opening that works well to pout oil in through. be careful the pto assembly is heavy.

Thanks for the good advice. Sounds like a job that will take some time but is definitely do-able. Too bad about having to remove the IPTO though. I have to replace the crank because it broke on me.
