PTO shaft question

Well my 509 rotary mower is all patched up and ready for mowing except for the fact that the guy who sold it to me never found the other half of the pto shaft I need.

So I just figured no problem I'll find the half I need online and buy it. I wish it were that easy, its like I have a rare pto shaft. I need the solid steel bar half that measures 1" x 1-1/8".

Why is it so hard to find????

i went through the same problem with a c tractor.. had to buy a shaft and a cuff. let me think a bit and i may be able to remember where i got mine,. all you need is the shaft>>?

You have about the most common PTO shaft there is.

I have never had good luck finding PTO parts online, let alone any good deals. You will need to source the parts locally.

Most Tractor Supply stores have the parts on the shelf, and their prices for that stuff is pretty typical. Only thing is you'll have to assemble the coupler yoke, cross, and shaft yoke yourself.

You need the drive end of a PTO shaft,thats the female end right, I had one made too, $195.00.

I need the half that attaches to the tractor which happens to be the male side on my setup. Thats the worst part too, its just a solid bar that I need!

Not cheap, but you're not going to do any better online or at a machinery dealer.
