Cultivator springs, rods and keepers

I have gotten off to good start building a set of cultivators for my A. However I am stumped on the spring keepers or whatever they are called that are on the lift arms. The old set that I bought had cable clamps for 3 of the eight needed, which I am sure will work but just does not look right. And the other problem is that one of the hangers has been welded which I am sure worked fine. So the questions are, what are the keepers called and will any others ( cub, Super A etc.) work? The other question is are there a difference in hangers ( they go under the front of the tractor) on the square arm. The two I have look the same.:?:

Several IH models of cultivators use the same rod size and stops. One issue is that the stops are often set in the same position for 60 years or more. and will require heat to loosen the set screws. Unfortunately many sets were scrapped as they became worn, or replaced with 4 row models. Jim

I don't have books in front of me, but I agree with Janicholson. I think those clamps/stops/retainers were used on alot of cultivators, and I think the tail wheel limit rod on the #8 plow used the same part.

A suitable replacement may be found on the 56 or 400 corn planters. Those stops looked like a piece of round rod with a hole drilled off-center and a set screw through the side. I don't remember the rod size, but it has to be close to the size of the rod on that cultivator.

you locate where to get any leave me know.
I do this now, Make my own replacement rods,
found springs through fastenall, and use
electrical 4/0 joining clamps.
