Sure but how will you know what size to get and how will you know if it needs to be ground or will you use plasti-ga to see how much wear is on the crank.
 
With mds do it right the first time not half a$$, it will come back and bite you. They are so expensive to get parts for but I would rather spend the money one time and do it right then, do it half a$$ and have something happen and have to do it all over again or worse the rotating assembly fair and ruin the block. Just my thoughts good luck jim.
 
yes, but have you checked the clearance already to know that it needs brgs. and how's the crank look?
 
you need to check the oil pressure with a master guage. get an actual p.s.i. reading cold and hot. does the oil pressure drop down when engine gets hot?
