farmall A or international AI

I bought what I thought was a Farmall A and noticed that I didn't see my gas pedal in any pictures, also has a factory horn and rad blades to control heating cooling manually, I don't see that setup on many tractors either, mine looks just like the throttle leaver. my sn is FAAI 356170, and I cant find a reference to this number at all. I'm starting to think I may have a 40 international A industrial instead of a Farmall A but I have the light duty front axle and that's not making sense, also my hood emblem is three diamonds with international printed across, grey and black diamonds with a red background, and about the size of a belt buckle, haven't seen this on any tractors either any help in finding out what I have?

The serial number indicates a 1954 Farmall Super A-1. That's "Ay-won" not "Ay-eye."

Is there a hydraulic unit under the gas tank?

"rad blades to control heating" aka shutters. That means it was a distillate or kerosene model originally. If the shutters are still there and work it's a pretty rare feature. Most were removed over time.

The diamond emblem is from an IH truck. It was likely added when the original emblem was damaged or lost, or it could be that a previous owner just liked how it looked.

Anything could have been changed or bolted on to this tractor in the last 60-75 years. It could be a "Frankentractor" made from the parts of multiple other tractors, which would explain the mismatched features.

thanks for finding the year, dont have the
hydraulic pump under the tank or the distillate
gas tank, emblem makes sense, gas pedal is
factory,i read that they internatinals were made
on the same assembly line as the farmalls and
serial numbers are mixed, looked at my plate its
an i not a 1,has yellow paint under the hood too,

You need to find the cast codes also what is the serial# on the block and part# like other posts have said your tractor could very well be one that has had many changes over the yrs. Where is the regulator located thats another clue does it have a hole in the hood not used. Shutters were an option on any tractor built so there is no big deal about the shutters. If the engine has not been changed the serial# woill have FAA1 also.
