Local listing in craigslist. IH 3788. 1000hrs on engine,500 hrs on clutch, flywheel and TA.

The gent is asking $15,000.

Good points? Warts? Priced about right or not?

Neighbor is interested and asked me about it. I'm not familiar with the model. Told him I'd ask here about the tractor. Thanks.
 
2+2's you either love 'em or you hate 'em. I would dare to guess that more people hate than love.

One thing it is NOT, is a 325HP Steiger. It is a 150HP row crop tractor. Basically anything a 1586 with MFWA can do, this can do. You will be disappointed if you try to run it like a Steiger.

The hinge and U-joints are the major wear points. Everything else is the same as a 1586.

IMHO $15,000 is high unless the thing absolutely GLEAMS.
 
Kind of high priced I would say. Hydraulics are an issue , both control hydraulics(steering etc) and remote . Three speed transmission like a 1586 but the final drive is bull gear like a 1086 size wise.

Oh god no! This thing is not worth anywhere near $15,000. It's been for sale for months.

I relayed what all of you have said and I think he's took the hint and decided not to bite on this one.
