Found the serial number

So I found the serial number for my tractor now. This is what the tag says: 80J C6501. Since the number is 6501 & that would match up with the Farmall 230 years they were made someone please tell me I'm finally done trying to figure it out!

i have seen 1 other 230, with some strange numbers on it, J behind the serial number usually means Rockford clutch, but the 80J, i have no idea, what that means.

Are you absolutely sure the "6" isn't really an "R"?

That's probably the hardest thing to make out on the whole tag. It really does look like a 6 but the R is possible[/img]

[b:50df6b5d0f]IF[/b:50df6b5d0f] it is an "R", that puts a "CR" in the middle of the serial number. That means it is a skid unit sold to Chisholm Ryder, which confirms my speculation in the other thread that it was originally a bean harvester.
