Watery Oil Super C

It appears that I am getting water into the oil on my super C. I had rebuilt this tractor a few years ago. I had to replace the block, as it had cracked along the water jacket. Found a good block and had the head looked over. Everything seemed to check out ok, that was maybe 5 - 6 years ago. Went change the oil in it today, and mucky mucky... :( It wasn't super creamy white, like I have seen in other water-in-oil situations, but it was obvious that there was something wrong.

I will check the water level in the radiator as soon as it cools off

The tractor sits under a lean, off the side of the shop so I don't think its rain water.

It's sitting in the shop now, with the oil plug out dripping into a pile of kitty litter, thought I would let it sit over night, and check the water level I the morning to see how bad it is leaking.

What do you guys suppose I investigate first. Would it do any good to pull the oil pan, and see if I can find where is coming from?

Water pump maybe? I did replace that when I rebuilt it a while back, but... /shrug

Remove the pan then you can see if the o-rings at the bottom of the sleeves are still not leaking mite take a couple of days to make sure there isnt any leak from there. It doesent take much water to make the oil color.

do you run water or antifreeze for coolant? is it water or antifreeze in the oil?

if you have humidity and temperature swings, a sitting tractor will get condensation in the crankcase. if you are just tooling around the yard the oil won"t get hot enough to boil it off.

condensation, rain, snow can find a way in everywhere.
Put the plug back in and let it sit overnight.
pull it in the morning, and if you have collected some 'green' (antifreeze),
time to pull the pan and find out exactly where it's coming from...

If you drop the oil pan to check which cylinder has the leak, you will need to check if the leak is from the sleeve/block connection or if the coolant is coming down the inside of the sleeve. I have a sleeve out of my tractor right now and the leak was actually a crack in the head, and the coolant was coming down the inside of the sleeve, past the rings. I pulled he sleeve for NOTHING. What a waste of time. Instead use a piece of toilet paper to wipe the inside of the sleeve and then put dry paper back in it to see if it gets wet from coolant slipping past the rings.
