International U2

Hi, I am currently restoring an International U2 engine, 1948. It has the International badge on the front. My question is, what stickers where used on the side ? Anyone have a picture of an original U2 ?

Here's mine. Photo is not clear, but the decal says
"INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER POWER" not original of course. It was too
rusty when I got it to see any of the original decal. I got the
decal from iron horse decals. The little circle decal is just a refrigerator magnet I stuck on there. I've never tried to find a U-2 decal to go in that location, but I suppose they are available.

FWIW I spotted this U2 at the Hamlin (NY) Antique Tractor and Equip show this afternoon.

My suspicion is the decals are not "correct".

The sheet metal clearly says "letter series" so I would imagine the decals would look similar to the decals on something like a W4 or W6, depending on the year.

It wouldn't say FARMALL on the side obviously. Everything that wasn't Farmall was a McCormick-Deering.

If early, it would just say "McCormick-Deering" on the side, and later models would have the IH logo with just "McCormick."

I'd imagine if you took an image of a W4, or a set of W4 decals with the correct era decals to someone who does sign vinyl they could create you convincing set of decals. Use A/B/C proportions for the decals and you're all set.

Thanks guys, I have been leaning towards McCormick with the IH logo in front. The U2 round logo was still on the front, very faded and barely showing. It looked like a water transfer, it was not a sticker. Tried to post a picture but still trying to work out how.
