New to me Farmall model

Saw a model Farmall B450 today at a tractor show in Southern Illinois. What does the B stand for? It said 1965 on the placard but it sure looked similar to a Super M diesel. Really neat tractor.

So now I wonder if it was made for export to Britain or was it imported from the U.K to the U.S.? I didn't see it listed in my Tractor Blue Book. Who ever the owner is did a nice job on it.

lots of b450's came here from Britain in the 60's , farmall also made tractors in France , Germany and a lot of other countrys .

Was it about the same tractor as a MDTA? It was pouring down rain when I was looking at the tractor so I may be off on the year - thought it said 1965.

I had one a while back. Was able to get 40% of the parts I needed through my dealer, or things like the injectors or the pump could be rebuilt by local guys. Some thing would have had to been ordered from overseas, and were going to cost big bucks, so I sold it to a guy who had a couple of them for parts, and was able to at least get my money back on it, but it did run and drive, just not very well.

Yes The B.450 was made in Doncaster UK Fitted with The B264 engine rated at about 55 engine hp at 1500 rpm. Lots of torque but because of it"s glowplug start it was not popular in colder climates. We had a B.450 standard it was one heck of a pulling tractor but because it had no draft control, no live PTO and only 5 forward gears and 1 reverse it seemed a bit "primitive" compared to say a Massey 65 or a Fordson Super Major but of course it could pull the a$$ of either of them! I say "Standard" because The B450 was available in 2 variants , "Standard" and "Rowcrop" Actually the rowcrop version was virtually a Farmall BMD with a few modifications.
