have 400 gas that is intermittently leaking hydraulic oil under dash. removed gauge cluster area
and cant see it. also draining below rt side remote levers. any ideas before i take all sheet metal off.

Check the steel lines that are between your feet. It may be leaking near the curve at the bottom where 50 years of wet dirt will have caused them to rust through. I have had one brazed and another one has had those lines replaced. Look for deep pits in the lines.

Likely the o-rings on the steel lines from the pump.
There are 3 nuts that hold the plate on that end, & 3 bolts on bottom of the pump. 2 o-rings on each end.

if its only leaking intermittently then I would suspect the o rings at the outlets since the lines from the pump would be leaking all the time.
get a bunch of o rings and replace them all, there is a lot. look on messicks or similar ih site to get the sizes of the o rings and where and how many you need and buy them somewhere other than the dealer to get a good price. not a difficult job. 300-350-400-450 f or ih are all the same.

Check for a leaky gasket between the hydraulic tank and the hydraulic valves. It is no longer available so I used black silicone sealer.

Yeah,Its those stupid O-Rings between the hydraulic blocks for you remote levers. They suck, and never last too long for me.Put them in brand new every 2 or so years for a long time
