any tips on this procedure? The hold down clamp on
the fire wall were not bad,but holy smokes is that
on under the cab floor a bugger to get to them
little screws. Any advice on how to make it simpler
or at least possible????

Did you take the plastic cover around the dash off?

6 or 8 screws and it comes right off.

Easy to switch the cable then.

I don't remember any clamps under the floor.

Yes the clamps, especially the one on the lower end can be a little difficult but just part of repairing business. Allen wrench socket style helps.

I have sometimes removed the bracket from the clutch housing ans installed the cable on it first and then put it back on the housing. Once the bottom end is in place I make the upper connections.
