howdy fellas, im new to tractors been a car guy for years but now have this 400 and a super m to keep up and running. back story is that my father in law had a small farm and he passed a couple years ago, ive been keeping every thing up since then and now im tearing down some sheds and out buildings on the land. ive been using the 400 because it has a trip bucket loader on it, i have no idea of manufacturer. last week a mounting bolt broke and fell out of the bracket that mounts to the rearend. i know a pic would be much better but i dont have one, the 'bolt' is t in shape and splips into a u grove in the bracket then goes over the axle and one under also, threaded so a large nut can be screw on it against the rear bracket. i just read this and it makes little sense to me but maybe one of you speaks ''central illinois semi city guy'' language and can help me find these bolts. at any rate you should get a chuckle out of this.
thanks guys
jeff

You need the 'T' bolt, right?Make your own.If you
dont have the skills, find someone who does.Or find a
welding shop to do it for you.Take em the pieces as
a sample.

Sounds like you could have a model 31 loader. Without pictures it is hard to tell. But this is one model that used this type of bolt. Would suggest the same as the rest, making one will be a lot cheaper that IH!! I just looked up the bolt for a 31 loader and it says it is a 5/8-11NC by 8 inch long carriage bolt, so now not sure if you do have a 31 or not. It is part number 450 557 R1.

East side of the state or west. Most of this stuff was homemade at a factory as an afterthought anyway.

im in central illinois, springfield. found out the brand of loader is farmhand, i did a google search and found several different ones but not exactly like mine. i wonder if all the fixed arm style mount the same?
