Would there be a reason for this type of spacing other than something being wrong?

Could've had a Sudenga or similar truck loading conveyor used when grain is stored in flat storage situations. Don't know if you are familiar with that but it resembles a snow blower type augering system on the back that uses a conveyor between the wheel and the frame towards the front to load trucks with. Essentially you back into the pile. Our local coop has one on a 1026 hydro they still use. Just a guess tho.

No idea of history, showed up at my neighbors, they are mowing and raking hay.
Big unit, turbo diesel.

Our 966 was similar, not quite as bad, was set out for something (don't remember) then just one side got moved in for chopping and left that way, by then there were a couple more tractors so no need to change for different seasons/jobs.

My 706 when I bought it(1984) was set so it made 4 tire tracks.Lf way in;lr way out;rf way out;rr way in. Never did figure that out.
