Hey everyone. I'm hoping this is an easy
question... I recently got a Farmall A (not super)
and its running well at first but as it warms up
the governor starts to keep adjusting the carb.
It'll rev up a little for a minute and then back
down. It will be most noticeable at idle but its
even noticeable as you drive it, it kind of feels
like you're almost chugging along as you drive it,
or speeding up for a second and then pulling back.
I have a feeling that it might just need an
adjustment to the governor. The carburetor is
rebuilt and the adjustment jet on that doesn't
seem to change this problem. So if Im right that
its the governor, then should I adjust the screw
on the top or the governor or the capped nut on
the bottom?
Any guidance would be helpful! Thanks!

Top nut is for hi speed the one on the bottom is the one you need for surge. Mite want to take it out and replace the spring usually they are rusted broke or just gummed up take the castle nut off then the jsm nut can be turned to adjust the castle nut is removed and the screw has a slot for a screwdriver.
