Super M belt pulley re bearing/re sealing questions

Belt pulley had always felt like it had a "rough" bearing in it since I originally bought the tractor. (NO big deal since I never use it anyway.) Flash fore ward 14 years and now after just driving the tractor ,it is leaking gear grease around the outer seal on the belt pullet shaft.(Hasn't been used in 14+ years I can account for. ;)

Like I said,I doubt if I would ever be flat belting ANYTHING EVER,but I at least need to tend to the new leak. Is it a matter of pulling the entire gear box off and just going ahead with a total rebuild ,or am I able to able to undo those outer 3 bolts and pull that outer assembly out and re bearing and seal it with out removing the entire gear box,or would that just be doing a "half a$$ed" rebuild job???(Never redone one,and have NO manual in front of me to know what is going on at this point.)

I know I could just do the belt PTO delete plate, but if it isn't to much of a task,I might as well just redo the thing.

Thoughts,opinions???? Pointers,tips on rebuilding???

Thanks.

Just remove/delete the pully assembly.'Make a cover out of 14 gauge,or 1/8 sheet steel. Heck, even a board would work!Use a piece of cardboard to make a pattern.I've done that twice. no regrets

Pull the whole pulley assembly off and you'll see it's not much of a job to take it apart and repair the faulty parts, none of which should be very expensive. Get the bearing and seal from a NAPA store. Or get the proper cover for the transmission pulley drive if you want to do away with the pulley. Don't do a "Mickey Mouse" job on a Super M.....

Take the pulley bearing and seal retainer bolts out next to the pulley flange. Pull shaft out keeping track of the shims. You can look at the shaft and see what needs done to change the seal.
Other shaft only has one bearing and a bushing.
Can get some idea of condition of it looking through the hole other shaft came out of. If you need to go farther the housing will not be as heavy when removing. Common for the bevel gears to give a rough feel when turning by hand.
