140 hydraulic problem

I've got a problem somewhere in my touch control box. The pump sounds like it is working hard all the time and the oil gets very hot. When I move the selector levers, you can here the pump "go easy." When it gets to the end of the stroke, the pressure builds again. I pulled the box today and took the big back cover off. I removed the relief valve assembly and everything looked good with it. I could not figure out how to get the valve sections out of the housing. Any ideas?

I pulled the filter, it looks fine. The oil looked good also. It acts like the valves that controls the movement of the pistons have a problem, but I can't seem to get them out of the housing to check for bad o-rings etc...... When the piston gets to the end of the stroke, what tells it to stop sending oil?

This was pete 23's response to a similar question I had about the hydraulics sticking on my Super C. I have not removed the battery box yet to see if I can find the pipe plug he mentions, but you may have something similar. I did pull the big screen behind the touch control sensor out, but cleaning that didn't solve the issue. I think it feels like a sticking valve too. If you solve your problem, please repost to indicate the fix. Good luck!

In behind the battery box, back side of hydraulic control box is a small pipe plug. Under that plug is a screw driver headed orfice. That is the first thing I would look at. The orfice has a screen on it and if most likely plugged restricting the flow through the orfice. The flow through that orfice is what moves the unloading piston to return the system to low pressure standby."
