There is a 380-80x38 tire for sale cheap on the classifieds near me. What size is that in normal English? All i understand is the 38 part. LOL Kent

If they are near you call the guy.
I've had tractors w/metric measurements but don't remember the numbers. Sorry no more help.

Hi Chances are unless you got an exact match for it you won't want it. Have seen a few tractors with say a 16.9 38 on and a metric equivalent. They can be miles apart in specs between the 2 sizes, and even different tire makers won't match either sometimes . that can throw the differential ratios out pretty good due to rolling radius being out, and can cause some real good damage to the drive line.
Be careful.
Regards Robert

It's just like a car tire.

First number is width in mm. Divide by 25.4 to get inches.

380mm / 25.4 = 14.96"

Second number is sidewall profile in % of width.

Don't ask me why or how they came up with that scheme.
